Abstract: Manufacturers use warranty policies as a marketing tool to attract potential customers. In this paper, we develop warranty cost models where the failure time of repairable products has log-logistic distribution under two types of hybrid repair warranty, the hybrid free repair warranty model and the hybrid pro-rata repair warranty model. For repairable items, the manufacturer has to replace it if the system fails before warranty period. If the system survives to the warranty period expire, then the system should go for periodically preventive maintenance and is minimally repaired at each failure between preventive maintenances. The maintenance after the expiry of warranty and the expected cost rate are considered. The performance of the hybrid repair warranty models is evaluated through numerical example. |
