A POSSIBLE IMPLICATION OF THE COHERENT ACCESS HYPOTHESIS

Abstract: In this paper, we discuss some implications of a recent proposal about a new way for counting the microstates of a system out of equilibrium, named as coherent access. Coherent access means the possibility for the particle to act as if it is populating more than one microstate at once. Being a property of systems out of equilibrium, we discuss the conditions under which the coherent access can take place. |
