BAYES ESTIMATION OF K-VARIABLE RELIABILITY FOR MULTIPLE EXPONENTIAL DISTRIBUTIONS

Abstract: An approximate Bayes estimator for K-variable reliability, ? ? ?based data from Kindependent exponential distributions is obtained. Laplace?s method as well as generalized Newton?s method are used as approximation tools to estimate the posterior mean of ?under squared error loss function. Monte Carlo simulation study compares the accuracies of the Bayes and the ML estimators of ?based on residual mean squared error (RMSE). |
