RELIABILITY ESTIMATION OF STRESS-STRENGTH MODEL USING THREE PARAMETER GENERALIZED LINDLEY DISTRIBUTION

Abstract: In this paper, reliability estimation procedure is described for a single component stress-strength (SSS) model and a multicomponent stress-strength (MSS) model using three parameter generalized Lindley (TPGL) distribution. The maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) of reliability of SSS model and reliability of MSS model are obtained. Asymptotic confidence interval of the stress-strength reliability is also obtained. A simulation study is performed to investigate the merits of the proposed methods. A real data analysis is presented for illustrative purpose. |
