A GROUP ACCEPTANCE SAMPLING PLAN USING MEAN LIFETIME AS A QUALITY PARAMETER FOR INVERSE WEIBULL DISTRIBUTION

Abstract: Present paper focuses on the group acceptance sampling plan when the characteristic of interest follows inverse Weibull distribution. Probability of acceptance is calculated using mean lifetime as a quality parameter for obtaining design parameters. The plan satisfies both the producer’s risk and consumer’s risk at some specified quality levels. Relevant r codes are appended for pedagogical use. Results from the study are exhibited in the form of tables and explained with relevant examples. Easy to follow methodology of the current paper will open new vistas for applying the technique of group acceptance sampling plans on a variety of probability distributions. |
