Abstract: In this article, based on progressively Type-I interval censored samples from a heterogeneous population that can be represented by a finite mixture of two component exponential lifetime model; the problem is estimating the parameters. The purpose of this study is to investigate and compare the behavior of expected duration to proposed Bayesian estimations for cases of inspection intervals in modeling a progressive type-I interval lifetime data. The formulas to compute the expected duration with using different inspection intervals are given. Bayesian estimates are compared with the maximum likelihood estimates by using the Markov chain Monte Carlo simulations MCMC and Markov chain simulations respectively. |
