Abstract: In this paper, an estimator is proposed that jointly incorporates the exponential ratio and exponential product estimators using single auxiliary variable based on the averages of the networks under adaptive cluster sampling design. The expressions of estimated bias and mean square error of the proposed estimator have been derived. Simulation study is carried out to check the performance of the proposed estimator over the competing estimators. The results of simulation study show that the proposed estimator is more efficient than the other adaptive and non-adaptive estimators on different initial and their corresponding expected sample sizes for the estimation of highly clustered population mean under adaptive cluster sampling design. |
