HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER EFFECTS ON A FREE CONVECTIVE FLOW PAST A SEMI-INFINITE VERTICAL CONE WITH THERMAL RADIATION AND CHEMICAL REACTION
The effect of thermal radiation on an unsteady two-dimensional natural convection laminar flow of a viscous incompressible fluid along a semi-infinite vertical cone in the presence of first order chemical reaction of the species is considered herewith. Using the appropriate variables, the basic governing equations are transformed to convenient form and then solved numerically using an implicit finite- difference method. Numerical solutions are obtained for velocity, temperature and concentration fields, as well as local and average skin frictions, local and average Nusselt numbers and local and average Sherwood numbers. The obtained numerical results are presented in the graphical form to study the effect of various physical parameters.
