NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER PROCESSES DURING MOTION OF THE SINGLE WATER DROPLET IN HIGH-TEMPERATURE GAS AREA
The numerical investigation of macroscopic regularities of heat and mass transfer processes under phase transformation conditions during single water droplet motion in high-temperature gas area was conducted. The dependences of droplet life time (full evaporation) on its sizes and motion velocity as well as area temperature were established. The influence of droplet motion resistance force on the time of its full evaporation was analyzed. The ranges of water droplet life time change during its motion in the gas area heated up to typical temperatures of fires and inflammations were determined.
