STUDY OF INDOOR ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY PERFORMANCE OF TYPICAL SLEEPING ROOM USING AIR CONDITIONER
This work introduces simulation results of one typical sleeping room in the northern region of Vietnam using air conditioner. The simulation is implemented by computational fluid dynamic (CFD) tool to evaluate the indoor air flow and energy consumption of intermittent operation mode with the effort to increase both the environment comfort and energy efficiency. The results show that indoor temperature and velocity distributions are almost uniform in the room to meet the comfort condition of human. Air conditioner spends longer time to reach the setup temperature at lower setup temperature and higher outside temperature, which results in more energy consumption.
