EVALUATING SEARCH CONVERSATION: A MODEL
Search conversation and abandonment is recently emerged in academics as well as practices for understanding a web user’s context and search patterns. The paper presents a theoretical framework for evaluating user search conversation and abandonment by showing the procedure to identify and compute the strength of relationships among users. We also investigated a real consulting company’s user accounts data for an empirical test. The preliminary results of search abandonment, rate computed and observed at the account-level, CFU-level and segment-level. This paper can help for a company to understand users search patterns and abandonment behaviors for its business.
