IMPACT OF CHEMICAL REACTION ON MICROPOLAR FLUID PAST A STRETCHING SHEET
The present analysis projects the chemical reaction effect with a second order slip flow on MHD micropolar fluid with boundary layer flow past a stretching sheet. Using similarity transformation, the governing non-linear coupled partial differential equations were transformed into coupled higher order non-linear ordinary differential equations. Then after 4th order Runge-Kutta method with shooting technique is applied to solve the coupled non-linear ODEs and solution for velocity, microrotation, temperature and concentration profiles has been obtained graphically by using bvp4c (MATLAB software). Graphical results are discussed for the skin friction coefficient, local Nusselt number and local Sherwood number. A comparison with previous studies gives an excellent agreement.
