SUGGESTION OF EMPIRICAL CORRELATION TO ESTIMATE HEAT TRANSFER OF V-SHAPE TUBES
A new empirical correlation is suggested to evaluate the heat transfer coefficient of a V-shape tube in saturated pool boiling. Through the survey of published results, 744 data points for the smooth tubes submerged in the water at atmospheric pressure have been obtained. The regression uses the nonlinear least square method. The newly developed correlation contains the included angle and the heat fluxes of both upper and lower tubes, and well predicts the experimental data within ±8% with some exceptions.
