Abstract: Conceptually, the cladding can be controlled and optimized by using the internet of things (IoT) for the precise cladding process. In the laser cladding work, we have designed a coaxial nozzle for inert gas supply. Due to the conceptual IoT application in the cladding process, it can overcome limitations and restrictions of the use of inert gases. In this work, we designed and simulated the optimized nozzle for the cladding process by applying the preplaced powder method. The powder is preplaced on the substrate and a laser beam is directed on the powder which melts powder as well as a minimal portion of the substrate forming strong bonds. |
