The Lozi mapping is a homeomorphism p of  defined by  For some values of a and b, Lozi observed complicated behaviour for the trajectories of this system. For  and , one observes numerically a strange attractor, which is very similar to the attractor of the Hénon.

In this paper, we present a new two-dimensional piecewise smooth map, similar to that of Lozi. We show that this map exhibits a chaotic behavior and provides a new robust chaotic attractor for some values of these two bifurcation parameters.
