SYMMETRY ANALYSIS AND EXACT SOLUTIONS OF THE DAMPED WAVE EQUATION ON THE SURFACE OF THE SPHERE

Abstract:

In this paper, the damped wave equation, on the surface of the sphere is considered. Using Lie symmetry approach, similarity transformations are obtained and certain interesting exact solutions of the damped wave equation are presented.
