NOVEL UNDER FREQUENCY SCHEME IN ISLANDED DISTRIBUTED NETWORK USING FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER
Maintaining frequency stability in an islanding system is the most necessary criterion nowadays. Insufficient generation due to disturbances causes overload in secondary generating system. Similarly, when the load driven by the main grid is less, there is an over frequency in the system. This paper reports a case study on isolated island system. When the secondary generation is less than the demand (power required driving the load), there is an abrupt change in the frequency of the system. Hence, to affirmation the frequency, more staunch techniques require for these systems. This can be overcome by using a FUZZY logic load shedding scheme by MATLAB fuzzy toolbox. Load shedding can be achieved by using pre-fetched information feed into a FUZZY system and load balancing can be done by the use of capacitance bank.
