THE REAL TIME SYSTEM FOR DETECTION OF CONTAMINATION IN DRINKING WATER
The most essential part of healthy human being is pure drinking water. Also, most of the diseases are spreading because of the consumption of contaminated water so thereis a need for water quality monitoring systems.The method involved for water quality assessment at present involves collections of water samples approach is not much efficient. It is because there lie various drawbacks such as long time consumption and watersamples only from fewareas. Also, i trequires enough man power. Hence, this method cannot provide critical decision for public health protection. This paper presentsan approach to determine the quality of water by using low cost sensors. The implementation cost for this system is reduced as is reported immediately by sending SMS in case of contamination. Here an array of sensors is used to monitor the quality of water. The information collected by the sensors is processed using microcontroller (AT89S52) and transmitted to the main server through ZigBee transmitter. Further, in case any contamination is detected, SMS willbe sentto the registered mobilephones by using GSM.
