AN ENHANCED BIOMETRIC BASED INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM FOR SECURE COMMUNICATION
Fortification of automated network systems from intrusive attacks is one of the major emerges in the orbit of network security. The proposed article presents a model for identifying the intrusive attacks in the ATM environment by incorporating biometric feature of fingerprints. The scheme utilizes the steganography technique to hide the user information and the signature on the biometric identity and this would get evaluated at the server system for identifying the intrusive and non-intrusive communications. The system offers services to the non-intrusive communications and the intrusive requests are registered on the repository and for which the alarms have been raised. The experimental result shows that the proposed scheme reduces the rate of false positive attacks, detects the occurrence of intrusion and accurately self-adapts the signatures, thus improving the overall detection and prediction accuracy.
