SEMANTIC ENABLED TOOL FOR ACADEMIC PROJECT MONITORING AND DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM
The proliferation of academic projects is needed to be organized by the project coordinators of the academic environment. The objective of the proposed method is to introduce an integrated semantic enabled tool for project monitoring system. Proposed method has features of an early warning decision support module to find the similarities between the projects title and the contents. It is implemented with semantic algorithm to compare the project title and abstract. This article implements latent semantic indexing method to find the semantic similarities between the documents. This project consists of the following modules, namely admin module that deals with various operations like assigning a co-coordinator to a particular class and assigning the guides to the students and also enabling communication between each other, the project management module that deals with the maintenance of the overall project work, and final module is semantic comparison module, it integrates warning decision support system. The latent semantic indexing algorithm is used to predict the similarities among the existing projects. The ultimate feature of this project is to find out the innovativeness of the new as well as the existing projects. It also provides project repository as digital library. Finally, the entire project is evaluated with project dataset and results show that it is an efficient tool for the academic institutions in accepting/rejecting the students’ projects.
