DIRECTIONAL ULTRA-WIDEBAND MONOPOLE ANTENNAS
This paper deals with a directional conformal disk monopole antenna printed on a flexible substrate. The antenna is mounted on cylindrical Roacell foam surfaces of various radii, and it is studied and compared to flat monopole disk which provides good performances: impedance match for a large bandwidth, increasing gain, a null in the broadside direction disappears in radiation pattern. The experimental results are in good agreement with the simulations provided by CST. Those proposed antennas would be a good candidate for the directional antenna application.
