SELECTIVE ITERATIVE CLIPPING AND FILTER WITH PARTIAL TRANSMIT SEQUENCE TECHNIQUE REDUCING PAPR IN FBMC/OQAM SYSTEM
This paper presents a proposed process that merges two signal processing techniques, namely, clipping and filtering that is applied on selective iterative basis (SCaF), and conventional partial transmit sequence (PTS) techniques. The key objective is to damp and set the ratio between peak and average powers of the filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) recently used in the 5G mobile systems. The hybrid proposed peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) scheme is referred to as SCaF-PTS technique. Simulation results show that the proposed PAPR reduction technique achieves better power reduction factor compared to the clipping and filter (CaF) scheme (around 7 dB) and to the PTS technique (around 5 dB).
