USING A MEAN OF SQUARE ROOT ABSOLUTE DIFFERENCE FOR NOISE DETECTION AND REDUCTION OF GRAYSCALE IMAGE
Grayscale image noise detection and reduction are very interesting and important fields for the image processing. This paper introduces a mean of square root absolute difference method for that purpose. The results show that this method can detect and reduce noisy pixels, both salt and pepper noises, and also the general noises. Although it is a simpler method, the quality of the results is better than the median filter method.
