AUTOMATIC ENERGY MONITORING OF SMART METERS
Minimization of the energy consumed is currently a key factor for several economies all over the globe. The conventional metering method for retrieving the energy data used is not expedient and the cost of data management systems is high. In this work, we present the design of the Automatic Energy Monitoring of Smart Meters (AEMSM). AEMSM scheme is an explosion for remote monitoring and controlling domestic energy metering. It provides the information of meter reading, power cut, total load used, power disconnect and tempering on request or regularly in particular interval through short message service (SMS). In all, there is transparency in the energy consumption and to and fro communication between the consumer and the utility. The proposed AEMSM is basically an interactive scheme and beneficial to both the energy consumer and the provider and also minimizes the number of conventional visits required by employs of the utility. This system not only eases the labor cost but also increases meter reading accuracy, hence, saving substantial amounts of time.
