IMAGE TRANSMISSION USING MIMO-OSTBC3 SPACE-TIME ENCODING
In this paper, the performance of image transmission by making use of MIMO system based on diversity technique is analyzed. This analysis is done using OSTBC over Rayleigh channel, by employing zero-forcing equalizer. The numbers of transmitting antennas are being kept fixed to 3 (for OSTBC3) and receiving antennas are varied in between 1 to 3. Here, the BER analysis for image sent by making use of MPSK modulation scheme is attained by varying the SNR values in between 0dB to 40dB with the difference of 10dB, i.e. (0dB, 10dB, 20dB, 30dB and 40dB). The modulation levels used are: 8PSK, 16PSK, 32PSK and 64PSK. It is determined that the reconstructed image will be of good quality with the increment in the value of SNR, but the image quality degrades with the increment in the M value of modulation scheme. The image quality keeps on increasing the number of antennas at the transmitter side.
