CONTROL OF TRACTION POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM MODES, EQUIPPED WITH ELECTRICITY STORAGE DEVICES
The current stage in the development of the electric power industry is characterized by the transition to a new technological platform based on the use of smart grid technologies. These technologies can be effectively used in power systems for AC railroads. One of the elements of intelligent electrical networks is the electricity storage device that allows to equalize the power consumption graphs on traction substations. Capacitive, inertial and inductive electricity storage devices can be used in power supply systems of railways.
The article presents the results of research aimed at developing methods for modeling power supply systems, equipped with electricity storage devices. For the generalized problem of drive control in traction power supply systems, an algorithm for its solution, based on simulation in phase coordinates, is proposed.
The developed technique for imitation simulation of traction power supply systems with energy storage devices has shown that, due to the use of energy storage devices, it is possible to equalize the load curves of traction substations. In the calculation example, the maximum of active power consumed is reduced by 15%, the range of power fluctuations is reduced by 40%. The joint application of energy storage devices and regulated reactive power sources allows stabilizing voltage levels on current collectors of electric rolling stock.
