SPECTRUM SENSING USING RAJAN TRANSFORM BASED FEATURE DETECTION IN COGNITIVE RADIO
The requirement for the wireless band arises because of the increasing development in wireless technology. Cognitive radio is the booming solution to this arising issue. The main objective of the cognitive radio is to search the available spectrum holes and utilize it in an effective way. This is termed as spectrum sensing. Among the various types of spectrum sensing schemes available, this work focuses on improving the performance of cyclostationary method by replacing the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) block of the feature detection method with Rajan transform. In addition, the performance of the cyclostationary method under various noise models is also analyzed. Simulated results proved that there is improvement in Probability of Detection, Signal to Noise Ratio.
