IMPLEMENTATION OF A SMART MEDIA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH WI-FI DIRECT AND ULTRASONIC SENSORS
This paper proposes a smart media management system based on Wi-Fi Direct and an ultrasonic distance sensor for reducing network traffic burden caused by massive media contents and for drawing people’s attention toward such contents. The proposed system comprises a media-sharing server and a media-playing client simply connected by the peer-to-peer autonomous group formation (P2P-AGF) of Wi-Fi Direct. After finishing the P2P-AGF, the media-sharing server transfers massive media contents such as commercial films (CFs) by using secure copy (SCP), and the media-playing client controls a media player to show the CFs according to measured information via the ultrasonic sensor for an effective advertisement service.
