CHANNEL SELECTION SCHEME IN MULTI-HOP AND MULTI-CHANNEL COGNITIVE RADIO NETWORKS
In cognitive radio networks, it is important to efficiently use spectrum resources without causing interference to the primary user. In multi-hop routing, collision with the primary user and interlink interference can reduce system throughput. Also, channel selection is an important issue in multi-channel cognitive radio networks. In this paper, we propose a channel-selection scheme to reduce the collision rate and interlink interference in multi-hop and multi-channel cognitive radio networks. We evaluate the proposed channel-selection scheme using extensive simulation, and simulation results show that the proposed scheme can reduce the collision rate and obtain higher network throughput.
