A STUDY ON THE LEAST SQUARE CHANNEL ESTIMATION FOR IEEE 802.11P WAVE SYSTEM
In this paper, least square (LS) channel estimation schemes for the IEEE 802.11p WAVE system are investigated. The existing LS channel estimation is based on only two long training symbols. In this paper, a new channel estimation algorithm intended to improve the performance of the existing LS channel estimation algorithm is presented. The new algorithm performs channel estimation based on two long training symbols and a short training symbol, and it shows a little better performance over the existing LS estimation.
