A NOVEL TRANSMISSION SCHEME FOR COOPERATIVE COMMUNICATION USING AMPLIFY-AND-FORWARD PROTOCOL
In this paper, we design novel transmission scheme for cooperative communication system using amplify-and-forward protocol without increasing the number of antennas at source and destination. In order to combat fading situation in wireless environment, diversity techniques are used. We use space as well as time diversity concept in order to transmit symbol from source to destination. Basic system model is exactly same as the conventional cooperative communication system. The only difference lies in the transmission of symbols. We presume that channel state information is acknowledged at the source and the destination. The proposed transmission scheme for cooperative communication leads to high diversity gain which reduces the effect of noise amplification of conventional cooperative system using amplify-and-forward protocol.
