Home automation is a concept introduced to make our lives easy. It enables us to control things around the home such as light, a door, consumer electronics and surveillance systems. User now can control  a wide range of home appliances with the aid of home automation. To provide mobility, a mobile-based home automation has been developed. Remote monitoring and controlling are possible with mobile phones. Another home automation system developed is an internet-based one which also promises controlling and monitoring of home devices. But what if at some point we do not have a mobile phone or internet connectivity. To enhance the comfort of the user, a system is developed so as the user can now just speak what he wants and the rest will be taken care of. With the help of this device a user not only controls the home devices but also can ask questions and can leave his house with no worry. The proposed home automation system improves the accessibility.
