Cloud computing paradigm is an affluent technology used for widespread complex computations. The massive operations have generated huge amount of structured and unstructured big data which contains personal confidential information. This information when breached has far more devastating consequences on big data. Since many large organizations are associated with it, securing big data  is a challenge and hence requires a clear perspective of the domain. This paper discusses various security threats and their corresponding effects.
