A SURVEY ON 5G TECHNOLOGY: DEVICE-TO-DEVICE COMMUNICATION
In the forthcoming days that go beyond 4G, some of the primary parameters and services that need to be fulfilled are improved quality of service, increased capacity, high data rate and lower latency. Hence, to sustain all these promises, a wide improvement has to be made in mobile communication network architecture, so-called 5th generation evolved includes emerging technologies and features which can easily fulfill the promises mentioned. Some of these emerging technologies are Massive MIMO, device-to-device communication and millimeter wave implementation, and thus it is likely to have high demand in future. It is always amazing that such a wide collection of technologies being integrated into a simple micro device. However, in this report, we mainly concentrate on mechanisms involved in device-to-device communication. The important factor for D2D is resource allocation algorithm. We provide framework on the resource allocation algorithms for device-to-device communication till date.
