With the advancement in the wireless sensor networks and their applications, it is necessary to increase the lifetime of WSN’s because these consist of small, tiny and inexpensive devices such as sensors which have constraints over processing, storage as well as battery power. Therefore, in order to increase the overall lifetime of the network, there is a need to develop resource efficient clustering and routing algorithms. In this paper, we present an efficient clustering algorithm for multilevel heterogeneous wireless sensor networks.
