In this paper, we introduce an automated liquid level monitoring system that is connected to a GSM module to provide updated liquid level to mobile devices. Specifically, we present a microcontroller based liquid level sensing and monitoring system that can be used to get liquid level automatically in any production unit having big tanks for liquid storage and supply. The measurement of the liquid level and the information transmission is done by the system digitally so that  the warning for over/under filling of liquid can be given remotely. In addition to the industrial applications, this system can also be used for the liquid level update of the overhead tank used in domestic purposes.
