STEREO ACOUSTIC ECHO CANCELLER USING SIMPLIFIED ORTHOGONAL PROJECTION ALGORITHM
The acoustic echo signals are cancelled by using the simplified orthogonal projection method in stereo acoustic echo canceller. If we compare the proposed algorithm with the NLMS algorithm with simplicity and high stability which is widely used, then this algorithm shows the advancement of the convergence performance for highly correlated signals, and has small computational quantities. We verified the convergence characteristics of the proposed algorithm through simulating it with various input signals. We compared the results of simulation to this algorithm with the ones to the NLMS algorithm. As a result, we obtain that the stereo acoustic echo canceller using the proposed algorithm has about 3dB more high ERLE than the NLMS algorithm in the white noise signals, and 5dB in the colored voice signals.
