ANALYZING THE CORRELATION AMONGST THE STUDENTS TAKING COMPUTING COURSE
Being an educator in a computing field, one of pedagogical challenges is encouraging the students to pursue computing field courses. Teachers would like to analyze the correlation amongst the students’ programming final grade, intelligence, study habits and motivation factors in order to know why only few students can graduate in a computing field. Furthermore, it will serve as a guide of the department to set a better standard in accepting freshmen students. The researchers conducted an experiment on a set of freshmen students taking computing courses. The students were given set of examinations to get all the required information. Researchers applied multiple regression analysis resulting 5.28E-06 which is less than the significant alpha 0.05.
