MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS OF NON-NEWTONIAN FLUID FLOW THROUGH MULTIPLE STENOTIC ARTERIES WITH NON-UNIFORM CROSS SECTION
A mathematical model is developed to study the steady incompressible flow of couple stress fluid through an inclined tube of non-uniform cross section with multiple stenoses. The pressure drop, resistanceto the flow, wall shear stress and nanoparticle phenomena are investigated by assuming the stenoses to be mild. Effects of different physical parameters like couple stress fluid parameters, Brownian motion parameter, thermophoresis parameter, local temperature Grashof number as well as local nanoparticle Grashof number on pressure drop, resistance to the flow and wall shear stress of the fluid are studied. Effects of these emerging physical parameters on arterial blood flow characteristics are shown graphically and discussed under the influence of nanoparticles.
