EFFECTS OF THERMAL RADIATION AND CHEMICAL REACTION ON TRANSIENT MHD FREE CONVECTION COUETTE FLOW IN A POROUS MEDIUM
The problem of an oscillatory MHD convection Couette flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid in a porous medium with first order chemical reaction and thermal radiation is studied. An external magnetic field of uniform strength is assumed to be imposed transversely to the direction of the flow. The resultant governing equations are solved analytically by adopting regular perturbation technique. Effects of the Hartmann number, thermal Grashof number, Solutal Grashof number, Schmidt number, chemical reaction parameter and the thermal radiation on the flow and heat and mass transfer characteristics have been investigated graphically and the results are physically interpreted.
