HOMOLOGY OF A CERTAIN HYPERSURFACE OF A TORUS
In [1, 2], Gottlieb studied a certain robot arm in and proved that its configuration space is a torus If we impose further condition on the motion of the arm, then its configuration space is a hypersurface of the torus. Many topological properties of have been proved in [4] but the homology groups are left unknown. In this paper, we determine them.
