STUDY ON THE HEAT TRANSFER CHARACTERISTICS IN THE CHANNELS WITH TRAPEZOIDAL
AND V-SHAPE WAVY PLATES

respectively. Effects of different
geometrical parameters of the wavy plate, wavy plate arrangement and heat flux
on the heat transfer characteristics are considered. The turbulent mathematical model is employed to determine the temperature and velocity distributions. The wavy plate
has significant effect on the onset and the growth of the recirculation zones. Due to the presence of
recirculation zones, the convective heat transfer obtained from the channel with
the wavy plate is higher than that of the flat plate.
