ON IMPLICITIZATION OF CERTAIN MONOMIAL PARAMETRIC SURFACES

Abstract: We explore the use of syzygies in the form of a combination of moving planes and moving quadrics to find the implicit equation of monomial parametric surfaces. Several more generalized results were already known, see for example [1, 2, 3, 4]. In all cases there were certain restrictions on the base points, such as local complete intersection base points. In our case although we restrict ourselves to special class of surfaces, we do not put any constraint on the base point. |
