INFLUENCE RADIATIVE PROPERTIES FOR THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER SURFACE ON THERMAL NOx

Abstract: The emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) are of interest to researchers. The thermal nitrogen oxides are significantly affected by the temperature of the combustion chambers. The temperature inside the combustion chamber is affected by many things, including the radiation properties of the combustion chamber surface (diffuser factor and emissivity). This study investigates the effect of radiation properties on nitrogen oxides emissions. The numerical solution is adopted using the FLUENT program. The results show that the radiation properties (diffuser factor and emissivity) of the combustion chamber surface had a significant impact on the emissions of nitrogen oxides, especially in the exit of the combustion chamber. |
