MATHEMATICAL MODELLING OF THE PROCESSES OF THE HIGH-FREQUENCY HEATING OF THERMOPLASTICS AND QUALITY IMPROVEMENT OF WELDED POLYMERIC ITEMS

Abstract: The paper is devoted to mathematical modelling of high-frequency electrothermic of thermoplastics in relation to a technological system in the form of the component plate, including electrodes, insulators, the processed material, and the study of the influence of termoisolation on heating of the thermoplastics. In the paper, the mathematical model is performed in the form of a system of nonstationary heat transfer in considering the internal heat sources with different boundary conditions and delivers its software.
The software provided in the paper enables to study the influence of geometrical and electrophysical parameters of technological systems of high-frequency heating of the thermoplastics. Based on the calculations presented in numerical and graphic kind, the following areas of polymer heating identified are: uniform heating, regional zones of thermal influence of insulators. In this paper, the results of research of influence of different thickness termoisolation on the distribution of temperature field of thermoplastics. Determined that we can shift the zone of maximum heating polymer modifying the parameters of insulating layers, which allows to improve the quality of welding of polymeric items.
According to the research results, the conclusion about the necessity of construction of technological process of electro-thermal polymers welding with the possibility of the maximum heating polymer zone displacement due to changes in the thickness of termoisolation was made. The developed software allows a new approach to the study of modes HF-heating, the solution of practical tasks of welded joints parts from thermoplastics quality improving. |
