EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THERMAL FLUID-FLOW CHARACTERISTICS OVER A PLATE IN NARROW CHANNEL

Abstract: An experimental study is performed on thermal and fluid
flow transport phenomenon over a plate in narrow channel. Experimental
apparatus, in which thin titanium plate
is sandwiched by two large side-walls made of acrylic windows for illumination
and observation, is employed. The overall heat transfer coefficient and
frictional pressure drop are obtained by measuring temperature and pressure drop between inlet
and outlet of the plate heat exchanger, respectively. Results may find
applications in enhancement of heat transfer of plate heat exchanger. |
