Abstract: This paper presents a computational simulation of the inviscid flow at the inlet of a hypersonic vehicle, using the academic version of Ansys/Fluent. The main objective is to apply a mesh convergence methodology, considering a generic hypersonic vehicle geometry with two inlet ramps and capable of flying at 35km altitude and Mach number 7. The analysis is performed by constructing three meshes. Starting from an initial unrefined mesh, the number of elements is increased by a multiplication factor, and, thus, the analysis of the variation of certain properties of the flow at points of interest is performed. |
