Abstract: Steady flow and heat convection of nanofluid in a channel filled with two viscous, incompressible and immiscible fluids is investigated. One layer of fluid is Newtonian and the other is of nanofluid (H2O-Ag). Flow and heat convection in the channel is influenced by a static transverse magnetic field of strength Using similarity transformations and finite difference method (FDM), the velocity and temperature profiles for both the regions are derived. The effect of various physical parameters like Reynolds number, magnetic number, solid volume fraction and width ratio parameter on velocity profiles, temperature profiles, Nusselt number and skin friction coefficient has been computed and analyzed by graphs. |
