Abstract: In this paper, we designed and simulated a bandstop filter using the meander line. The meander line, by which the circuit was constructed, has inductive and capacitive characteristics. The optimized bandstop filter exhibited good simulation results at 9GHz. The insertion loss and return losses are 45dB and 1.2dB with 6.3GHz bandwidth at 9GHz frequency and it has a bandstop characteristic with higher insertion loss. The size was miniaturized due to its inherent characteristics. We can also design this bandstop filter using microwave monolithic integrated technology and integrated passive device technology as well so that we can minimize the size of the filter. The bandstop filter has been simulated using Sonnet lite 3D planar EM simulator tool and implemented on the Teflon substrate. |
