Abstract: A human blood flow model has been developed for carbon nanotubes in a vertical channel filled with porous medium in presence of thermal radiation and chemical reaction of first order. A uniform magnetic field is applied transversely to the wall of the channel. In this channel, single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and multiple wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are placed with human blood as base fluid. The equations of blood flow model are solved analytically and the findings of prime factors are presented graphically. Validation of this work is presented and found suitable. It is found that CNTs play an important role in the base fluid of human blood. It is observed that velocity decreases with increasing CNTs volume fraction and an increase in CNTs volume fraction increases the blood temperature. CNTs are currently one of the most popular nanomaterials used in a number of applications including electronics, energy storage, solar cells, molecular separation, pharmacy and drug delivery. |
